We have been involved in many of Canada's most ambitious projects; from dams, bridges, energy transmission and distribution to railroads and transportation. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer and our products are made at facilities located in Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.
As a Sales Systems & CI Specialist, you will report directly to the Commercial Excellence & CI Leader. As the SAP Super Key User, this role aligns system functionality with business requirements and enhances user experience through training, documentation, process mapping, and Lean-based improvement programs.
GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION
One of the strategic orientations that Nexans pursues consists in capturing growth and differentiating its offer by escalading the value chain from the production of cables towards the provision of innovative cable systems and services and solutions to better address the current and future needs of our partners and customers.
The Sales Systems & CI Specialist is responsible for managing sales systems governance, optimizing sales workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position ensures that sales processes, tools, and performance routines are standardized, efficient, and integrated across functions.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
1. Sales System Ownership
- Serve as SAP Super Key User across all sales-related modules.
- Align SAP workflows with business processes and manage system configuration enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT on testing, issue resolution, documentation, and integrations.
2. Process Mapping & Optimization
- Map and improve end-to-end sales processes (Q2C, MBP, onboarding, reporting).
- Identify inefficiencies, pain points, and automation opportunities.
- Build standardized workflows, SOPs, and documentation.
3. Training & Enablement
- Create and maintain scalable training tools, onboarding materials, and playbooks.
- Facilitate user training sessions and support adoption of digital tools.
- Ensure consistent usage and compliance with established processes.
4. Continuous Improvement & Auditing
- Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to streamline processes and remove waste.
- Conduct process audits and system utilization reviews.
- Use performance metrics to identify improvement areas and track progress.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with IT, Operations, Finance, and Sales Leaders on system integrations and change initiatives.
- Support system changes related to portfolio updates, organizational shifts, or strategic programs
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales Operations, Sales Systems, CI, or related functions.
- SAP Key User or Super User experience required.
- Strong process mapping and improvement experience.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and training development skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum).
- Experience with CRM tools, automation platforms, or reporting systems.
- Experience in B2B distribution, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
Working Conditions
- Office or hybrid environment.
- Occasional travel (<10%).
- May require off-hours support during system changes or go-lives.
