Lenscan Medical Inc. specializes in medical equipment distribution and solutions for healthcare practices in the ophthalmic and dental fields. Based out of Waterloo, ON, we are looking for an operations coordinator to join our growing team on a full-time basis.
Job Description
As the Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks to support the Lenscan Medical Inc's various departments and levels. This is a dynamic role that requires a mix of office administration, physical warehouse duties, and local travel. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the ERP system to control sales, inventory and orders.
- Fulfill and manage orders and shipments. This includes the frequent loading, unloading, and physical handling of heavy medical equipment.
- Communicate with manufacturers to place purchase orders.
- Travel frequently between our Waterloo head office, local warehouses, and client clinics using your personal vehicle.
- Provide customer support and act as the liaison between the customer and internal departments to ensure their inquiries are answered, orders are fulfilled, and their requests are handled in a timely manner.
- Support business needs by working with the team across all departments. Assist with the physical setup, unboxing, and handling of mechanical medical devices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: College diploma or Bachelor’s degree. Entry-level candidates are highly welcome to apply; comprehensive training will be provided for the right individual.
- Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin is strictly required, as you need to communicate with Chinese manufacturers.
- Physical Capability: Able to do physical works. Must be physically capable of safely lifting, carrying, and maneuvering cargo weighing 25KG (55 lbs) or more on a regular basis.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid G driver’s license and have your own reliable vehicle for daily operational travel.
- Technical & Mechanical Skills: Ability to quickly learn new medical equipment. A strong hands-on aptitude, mechanical interest, and passion for medical devices are essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Attributes: Customer service skills - gather and understand client needs. Great team player.
Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
