Biktrix is a Saskatoon-based company that has been making and selling electric bikes since 2013 and experiencing explosive growth. We currently have two warehouse locations as well as retail locations in Saskatoon SK, Vancouver BC, Kelowna BC, Victoria BC, Edmonton AB, and now we finally add Calgary AB to that list! We are looking for a full-time mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair Biktrix electric bikes at our new Calgary Showroom location. Reporting to the Showroom Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring proper assembly of bikes purchased at our showroom as well as helping riders with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.

A day in the life of a Biktrix Mechanic
- Complete assembly and adjustment of all the different models of bicycles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and customer requirements
- Inspect mechanical bike components, motors, batteries, electronics, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Troubleshoot reported problems and conduct repairs in a timely manner
- Conduct tuneups, regular maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication on customer’s bikes
- Continuous monitoring of all inventory, tools, and parts in your workstation to ensure sufficient supplies at all times
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Keep a clean and organized work environment
- Undertake other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years experience as a bike mechanic in a formal setting is preferred, but we will consider those with less experience as we are more than willing to train someone who is a good match for Biktrix
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Can ride a bicycle
- Excellent physical strength (capable of lifting up to 25 kg), with strong stamina and flexibility.
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- Always punctual and able to manage time effectively
- Willing to learn new techniques and skills and share what you already know
- Computer savvy, with knowledge of Google suite
- Excellent Problem-solving and mechanical ability
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.
