We are looking for a Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating press machinery used in the production panel doors. You will ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while maintaining production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Press laminate, veneer, melamine or other materials onto timber panels.
- Read and interpret technical drawings production schedules and work orders.
- Ensure correct material, adhesives and press settings are used for each job.
- Monitor pressing cycles, temperature, pressure and curing times where applicable.
- Inspect finished panels for quality, ensuring they are free from defects.
- Work closely with CNC operators, edge band operators and assembly teams to meet production deadline.
- Minimise wastes by using materials efficiently.
Experience:
- Previous experience operating hydraulic membrane, hot or cold press machines in a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with laminates, veneers, and timber based products.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and product specifications.
