Job Description:
In this position, you will be responsible for high-quality welding using GMAW, GTAW, carbon steel, stainless and aluminum structures. Scheller Metal Fabricators Ltd. is specializing in the fabrication of Vacuum Equipment; including Septic Trucks, Industrial Vacuum Trucks, and heavy-duty Hydrovac Trucks. This position requires a strong understanding of welding processes, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Job Duties:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to meet high-quality standards.
- GMAW (Gas metal arc welding).
- GTAW (Gas Tungsten arc welding).
- Welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to plan and execute work.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve welding techniques.
- Operate welding equipment and tools efficiently and safely.
Skills and Qualification
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Fitting and Welding.
- Welding certification is an asset.
- Professional knowledge of TIG & MIG welding, basic metal shop practices.
- Duties include assemble and weld tanks, structural and misc.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to express ideas and issues clearly to management and coworkers.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Work independently and within a team.
- Maintain high-quality standards.
- Ability to adapt to changes in workflow.
