Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, replacing, and repairing automotive glass with precision and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience working in dealership settings or automotive repair shops, possess mechanical knowledge, and be comfortable using various hand and power tools. Duties
- Remove damaged or broken automotive glass safely and efficiently
- Install new windshields and windows using specialized tools and techniques
- Ensure proper sealing and fitting of all glass components to prevent leaks and wind noise
- Perform repairs on minor chips or cracks when applicable
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to handle glass components
- Conduct quality checks to ensure the integrity and safety of the installation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety protocols at all times during installation and repair processes
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity of vehicle components and systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Ability to perform automotive glass replacement accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Mechanic experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
