Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mechanic specializing in classic cars to join our team of British car specialists. Duties
- Perform comprehensive repairs and restorations on classic cars, including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and modifications
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Assemble parts and components accurately according to specifications
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy parts
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and services performed
- Assist with vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met before delivery or customer pickup
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing client questions professionally
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on automotive repair, preferably in a dealership or restoration environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of classic car systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures specific to vintage automobiles
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about repairs and restorations
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
