Line Cook – Job Overview
Oliver’s Lounge & Grill is seeking a skilled and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering consistently high-quality food.
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items to standard, maintaining a clean and organized station, and working closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service. You’ll play a key role in upholding food quality, presentation, and timing while supporting a positive, respectful team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and plating standards
- Maintain station organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Execute service efficiently during high-volume periods
- Assist with prep, inventory, and minimizing food waste
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; however, we welcome candidates with strong passion, talent, and a willingness to learn.
- Previous line cook experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure with consistency and attention to detail
- Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
- Passion for food and pride in creating great guest experiences
