We are growing and invite passionate Early Childhood Educators (Level 3) with minimum 2 years of childcare experience to join our team. If you value creativity, collaboration and child led learning, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in young children
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioral observations
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and classroom management strategies
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills
- Lead by example to promote positive behavior, social skills, and emotional regulation among children
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
- Take on other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including classroom experience, minimum 2 years.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development theories
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset but not required; excellent communication skills are essential
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Excellent writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Valid certification or diploma in early childhood education (Level 3) or equivalent qualification is required
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes equity in learning
- Valid First Aid Certification in Child Care with CPR
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within 6 months of employment start date)
