The Opportunity
We are seeking a certified Refrigerator Maintenance Operator (TSSA Class B) to maintain and support refrigeration systems critical to food safety, product quality, and operational continuity. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliant, reliable, and energy-efficient cooling systems in a high-volume warehouse environment.

What You’ll Do
- Maintain, inspect, and monitor refrigeration and cooling systems to meet TSSA, food safety, and operational standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across compressors, motors, controls, and HVAC-linked systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime, protect perishable inventory, and extend equipment life.
- Monitor temperatures, pressures, and system performance to ensure stable storage conditions.
- Complete work orders and maintenance logs using CMMS and regulatory documentation.
- Support audits, inspections, and contractor work to ensure compliance and safety.
- Respond to system alarms, breakdowns, and emergency call-ins as required.
What You Bring
Must-haves
- TSSA Class B Refrigeration Operating Engineer certification.
- 3–5 years of experience working with regulated refrigeration systems.
- Hands-on experience in industrial, warehouse, or food-grade facilities.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of TSSA requirements, food safety standards, and refrigerant handling.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with ammonia or industrial refrigeration systems.
- Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification.
- Background in food distribution, produce, or cold-storage environments.
- Skilled trade, refrigeration mechanic, or millwright training
This position does not require Canadian experience beyond the skills and qualifications listed above.
Work Environment
- On-site warehouse and mechanical room setting.
- Exposure to cold environments, noise, and operating equipment.
- Shift work including weekends, overtime, or emergency call-ins.
- Physically active role with lifting, climbing, and frequent walking.

Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour
