Position Overview
The Integrity Group of Companies consists of six different business units, with the primary areas of focus including the construction of post frame buildings across Western Canada, supplying framing material packages to homebuilders in Calgary and area, as well as manufacturing.
We are seeking a Service Technician or Construction Framer to join our team to oversees service calls for post-frame structures, renovation projects, and builds post-frame structures or add-ons. This role requires a strong understanding of safety culture and management, effective communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work with a team, well-developed problem-solving, and a general understanding of trades and construction.
Roles and Responsibilities
Field Construction & Service
- Customer Support: Efficiently handle and resolve customer service calls and warranty requests.
- Construction: Measure, mark, and cut materials to specification to set posts, frame openings, and install doors, greenboard, wall/gable metal, roofing purlins, ventilation systems, etc.
Site & Equipment Management
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate construction equipment, including telehandlers, skid steers, and scissor lifts.
- Asset Care: Manage the tool trailer, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Reporting: Submit accurate daily progress reports to the Operations Manager.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure all workmanship meets Integrity’s high standards and strictly complies with Company Health & Safety policies.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in wood framing or sheet metal installation.
- Equipment: Prior experience operating construction equipment (e.g., scissor lifts, bucket trucks, skid steers, telehandlers) is preferred
Skills/Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing.
- Safety & Logistics: General health and safety knowledge for construction sites, alongside a solid understanding of building construction and logistics.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Professionalism: Demonstrates flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Organization: Excellent time management, planning skills, and a sharp attention to detail.
Technology & Equipment
- Telehandler, skidsteer and scissorlift
- Geotabs and Fleetio
Travel
- Travel throughout Western Canadian provinces is required and related to job site schedule
Work Schedule
