Position: Survey Assistant
Turner & Associates Land Surveying Inc. is an established Land Surveying firm located in Nanaimo B.C. We are looking for a Survey Assistant to join our growing team. This permanent full-time position is an opportunity for the right individual to advance their career in an active environment working directly with BC land surveyors and support staff to provide high quality land surveying services.
Turner & Associates Land Surveying provides a wide range of surveying services to the Central Vancouver Island area and the Gulf Islands with an emphasis on legal, residential/commercial construction, engineering and strata surveys. We also provide land development consulting services and manage development applications for our clients. Our company prides itself on providing exceptional service to our clients and staying current with the latest technology.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out all aspects of field work for cadastral, residential/commercial construction, strata, topographic and volume surveys
- Assist Senior Field Technologist with operation of total stations, GNSS and related field equipment
- Follow all safety protocol and guidelines
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in adverse conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Post-secondary education in geomatics program or equivalent considered an asset
- Related work experience would be considered an asset
