BaoBao Arts Centre is in need of a beginners to advanced piano and theory instructor to teach our year round music program. We are an arts and music centre based in Port Coquitlam dedicated in providing quality education to all our students.
The ideal candidate will need to have at least a bachelor's degree in music with more than 5 years of teaching experience. We are looking for a responsible, punctual, friendly, confident, and passionate teacher that can help students of all ages do their best in their music studies.
Teaching days will be on Tuesday and Thursday with room to expand. As a music teacher you must be familiar with the royal conservatory curriculum and be experienced to teach students from Level 1 through Level 10. You must be confident and passionate in helping students of all ages from 5 to 18 in finding their best learning style.
Currently we have 5 existing students levels ranging from l to 6, one RCM theory class in need of an instructor.
Job Requirement:
-ARCT certification, Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
-5 years minimum teaching experience
-Able to teach piano level 1 - 10
-Able to teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced theory
-Must be experienced in teaching students of various ages from 5-18 yrs old
Teaching Responsbility:
-Teaching classes of 30-60 minutes
-Planning lessons and curriculum in accordance to individual student's goals and interest
-Preparing students for examination, recitals, performance and competition
-Communicating with parents about the student's music progress
-Maintaining regular and punctual attendance
-Active communication with studio administrative staff in planning schedule
