Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth service by delivering food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests. Prior experience in restaurant settings, food handling, or hospitality is preferred but not required. Duties
- Deliver prepared dishes from the kitchen to guest tables efficiently and courteously
- Assist servers with clearing plates and resetting tables as needed
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas throughout shifts
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate orders
- Handle food safely, adhering to proper food handling and safety protocols
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation or setup tasks when necessary
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order accuracy and processing (if applicable)
- Uphold high standards of guest service by providing prompt, attentive, and friendly assistance
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with serving, meal preparation, or cashiering is beneficial
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience in customer service roles such as hotel or barista positions can be valuable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with cleaning or maintaining cleanliness standards in a restaurant setting is preferred
