Position Summary
SunMaster Produce Inc. is seeking motivated and dependable Greenhouse General Labourers to assist with the daily production and maintenance of hydroponic bell pepper crops. This position involves a variety of greenhouse tasks including crop care, harvesting, transplanting, sanitation, and general plant maintenance. No previous experience is required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
-Harvest bell peppers by hand according to quality standards.
-Clean and maintain crops to promote healthy plant growth.
-Cultivate and maintain plants within a vertical farming system.
-Cut and remove plant material as required.
-Tie, secure, and support plants throughout the growing cycle.
-Assist with pruning plants and removing excess foliage.
-Transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings.
-Monitor crops and report signs of insects, disease, or plant damage.
-Perform greenhouse cleaning and sanitation duties.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area.
-Follow all company policies, food safety requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
-Assist with other greenhouse production tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
-No formal education required.
-Previous greenhouse or agricultural experience is considered an asset but is not required.
-Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic.
Working Conditions
-Fast-paced greenhouse environment.
-Repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail.
-Standing and walking for extended periods.
-Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
-Ability to lift and carry up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
-Work performed entirely on-site in a greenhouse setting.

Wage
$17.60/hour
