Overview
Impressions Group Ottawa is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing team specializing in residential pool, landscaping, and outdoor living projects. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced in decorative and structural concrete work for backyard environments including pool decks, patios, walkways, stairs, and outdoor living spaces.The Concrete Finisher will work closely with project managers, foremen, and landscape crews to ensure all concrete work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Prepare, place, pour, and finish concrete for residential pool and landscape construction projects
- Install concrete for pool decks, patios, walkways, stairs, curbs, and outdoor living spaces
- Perform concrete finishing including screeding, floating, edging, broom finishes, exposed aggregate, stamped concrete, and trowel finishing
- Assist with forming, grading, excavation, and site preparation
- Read and interpret landscape and construction plans, layouts, and elevations
- Ensure proper concrete curing, drainage, and finishing techniques are followed
- Operate concrete saws, compactors, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Work closely with landscape, pool, and construction crews throughout project phases
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites
- Ensure all work meets company workmanship and quality standards
- Identify and resolve job site issues proactively
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, forming, and curing techniques.
- Experience with residential concrete and outdoor construction projects preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools specific to concrete work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks associated with construction projects.
