Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of cannabis products, and the ability to provide an engaging and educational experience for our customers. This role involves assisting clients with product selection, managing transactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, along with proficiency in computer operation and retail sales. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assess their needs to recommend suitable cannabis products
- Educate customers on product effects, usage, and safety guidelines
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and upselling products
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Handle inventory management, including filing and stock replenishment
- Assist with store merchandising, promotional displays, and cleanliness standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Support team leadership in maintaining compliance with all regulations and store policies
- Engage in continuous learning about new products, industry trends, and company procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service roles
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word; basic computer skills required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., stocking shelves)
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
- Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and computer operation preferred
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibly and accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining professionalism
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele
- Prior experience or knowledge of cannabis products is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
