iNet Media is looking for a Content Writer to join our growing team in Calgary!
Please note the role is temporary however it could lead to a full time role with our agency.
We are an award-winning digital marketing agency providing innovative solutions that help businesses of all sizes achieve their online goals. We specialize in SEO, PPC, UI/UX Design, and Website Development.
As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for writing blog content and web copy, editing and proofreading content, social media content, liaising with clients/staff and managing projects. You will work closely with our SEO, web development, and design teams to ensure content deadlines are met.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with exceptional project management and leadership skills. Good business acumen and agency experience will be an asset. As a Content Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring content meets the client’s voice and brand.
You will be part of a team that works together for the success of our clients. You will have your own set of clients to manage with the support of our Content Lead, SEO Director, account managers and overall agency. Training will be provided to ensure you understand our Content process and the agency’s task management tool.
You must be passionate about content writing and digital marketing trends and try to stay current with the latest trends and best practices. iNet Media's most important value in a new team member is that you treat your client's digital marketing and advertising as if it were for your own business.
Responsibilities
- Write, proofread, and edit content using Google Docs
- Organize content workload and projects
- Prioritize tasks based on urgency and budget
- Write content and copy for various platforms, including website, blog, social media, and email newsletters
- Attend content meetings with internal team members
- Conduct content interviews with new clients for web development projects
- Send content to clients for review and approvals, maintaining good communication to develop and retain client trust and relationships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SEO, design, web development, and PPC to develop and deliver cohesive content campaigns
- Working with the client, account managers, and SEO team for project communication
- Keeping your client's materials, notes, research, and access secure and organized
- Using a project management tool: Basecamp (training will be provided)
- Manage content creation projects from start to finish, including planning, resource allocation, timelines, and quality control
- Follow and continue to develop our existing content process
Requirements
- The candidate must reside in Calgary
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Content Manager role
- Proven content writing experience with a portfolio
- The ability to differentiate between content and copywriting
- Project Management - The ability to follow up with projects and see them through to implementation
- The candidate must be passionate about marketing and helping businesses grow digitally
- The candidate should have an understanding of content and copywriting concepts: Positioning, framing, and understanding the business
- Experience with Google Docs and Grammarly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
