Vistamere Retirement Residence is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team on a casual basis. Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed while adhering to established protocols and policies.
- Health Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor residents’ health status, documenting changes and communicating them effectively to the healthcare team.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Support and Education: Educate residents and their families about health conditions, treatments, and lifestyle choices to promote overall well-being.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to care.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice in nursing care.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or retirement residence setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical and assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in the use of healthcare software.
