Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Construction Lead to oversee and coordinate complex HVAC installation and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction expertise, and leadership skills to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team of technicians and collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional HVAC solutions across commercial and industrial settings.
Duties
- Lead and supervise HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance projects on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to HVAC systems, plumbing, boilers, and appliances.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform or oversee welding, ductwork fabrication/installation and other mechanical tasks as required for project success.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, materials used, and work performed for reporting purposes.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians on installation techniques, schematics interpretation, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate work sub-contractors on projects.
Requirements
- This position requires 8-10 years experience in construction field
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
- Prior experience in welding and/or ductwork installation or HVAC related fields.
- Basic plumbing, carpentry, mechanical knowledge essential.
- Ability to give instructions accurately and efficiently
- Good communication skills and reliability
- Valid Class 5 drivers license is required
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks on-site
- Willingness to work long days. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with extended days off between projects to balance hours worked and work/life quality.
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
