We are seeking compassionate, skilled clinicians to join our Nanaimo office and help us bring accessible, high-quality counselling services to the community.
Island Clinical Counselling is a collaborative group practice rooted in the values of purpose, integrity, and client-centred care. Our team works with diverse clients across the lifespan and is committed to ethical, inclusive, and evidence-informed practice.
We are particularly interested in clinicians who bring specialized skills that support underserved needs in the community.
Preference will be given to clinicians with training or experience in:
- EMDR / trauma therapy
- Child and youth counselling
- Play therapy
- Couples and Family Counselling
- Neurodivergent-affirming therapy (ADHD / autism)
- Family counselling
Position Overview
- Provide individual, couple, or family counselling
- Collaborate with a supportive team of clinicians
- Maintain clinical documentation and ethical standards
- Opportunities to develop specialized programs or groups
Qualifications
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with BCACC or CCC (Certified Canadian Counsellor)
- Master’s degree in counselling, psychology, or related field
- Strong clinical judgement and ethical practice
- Commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive care
