Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing sales activities, and ensuring exceptional customer service to drive store success and growth.
Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies
- Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Coordinate purchasing decisions and pricing strategies to optimize profitability
- Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions and inventory tracking
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Support budgeting efforts and assist in financial planning activities
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in retail or related fields with a strong background in store management
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, sales management, and team leadership
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customers and staff
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing techniques, and retail sales processes
- Ability to handle customer service issues professionally while maintaining a positive store atmosphere
