Job Summary:
The Manager of Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Laboratory (Lab) plays a critical leadership role within the hospital’s clinical services team, overseeing the strategic, operational, and clinical functions of both departments. This individual is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient diagnostic services that support patient-centered care and align with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
The successful candidate will lead a diverse, multidisciplinary team, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence in service delivery.
Education/Experience
Current registration and good standing with CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario) and/or CMLTO (College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario).
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Radiological Technology, or a related discipline is required. Master’s degree in Health Administration, Leadership, or related field is preferred.
Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in a clinical setting, including three (3) years of clinical experience and two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience in a unionized healthcare environment is strongly preferred.

Advanced knowledge of EMR, PACS, LIS, and Microsoft Office tools.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking to optimize patient flow, resource use, and quality outcomes.

Hours of Work: In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts.
This is a temporary position, approximately 18 months. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
