Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Banquet Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in serving and meal presentation for large events. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality banquet services in a professional hospitality environment, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in the planning and execution of banquet menus, ensuring timely and efficient meal service
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated according to safety guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service during large events
- Monitor portion control and presentation quality to meet guest expectations
- Assist in training junior kitchen staff and interns as needed
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or banquet settings is preferred
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on presentation and quality control
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy event times
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Prior experience in the food service or hospitality industry is highly desirable
