Responsibilities
- Use hand tools and power tools to plant, prune, mow, edge, and maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscape features.
- Implement landscape maintenance routines including watering, fertilizing, mulching, and pest control to ensure healthy plant growth.
- Assist with designing landscape layouts by preparing soil beds, planting new greenery, and installing features such as pathways or irrigation systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify issues such as disease or damage and address them promptly.
- Maintain irrigation systems by checking for leaks or blockages and making necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and handling chemicals or fertilizers to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to environmental sustainability practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape gardening or horticulture is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes.
- Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and plant care best practices.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Ability to identify common pests and plant diseases with a focus on sustainable treatment methods.
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions is essential.
- Driving license
