Wage: $54.02 + premiums

What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems on construction and mining equipment
- Perform overhauls, maintenance, and new equipment builds
- Troubleshoot issues using computerized and manual diagnostic tools
- Work independently in remote field settings, including adverse weather and confined spaces
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement in safe work practices
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role
What You Bring
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification is required
- Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitude
- Experience working with Komatsu equipment is an asset
- Edmonton/Acheson area resident preferred (shop is located in Acheson and you will work in this location when there is no field work)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Self-motivated and safety-focused with experience working independently in field conditions
- Adaptable, self-sufficient, and a strong team player
Work Environment
- Combination of shop work, local field service, and remote FIFO mining support
- Camp-based work with extended periods away from home
- Long shifts (12+ hours) in physically and mentally demanding conditions
- Travel schedules and job locations may change based on customer demand
- Work performed both independently and as part of a team
This role involves working closely with the same crew for extended periods including full shifts, travel days, meals, and time in camp. The ability to work well with others and maintain a professional attitude in close working and living conditions is critical.
