Straight West Plumbing is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented jouryney man/ woman plumber to join our great team. The type of work we do is a mix of new build residential projects along with new build commercial projects and some light service. We are looking for someone who has experience in the installation of plumbing, gas-fitting, hydronic heating systems and has worked in a new build construction setting. Most of our cliental is located south west of edmonton but still in the greater Edmonton area such as in Leduc, Devon, Gramina, Calmar, Thorsby and Pigeon Lake. The ideal candidate must have a valid drivers license, Journeyman plumbing ticket, and gas-fitter B ticket. The individual will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various projects, including residential and commercial construction sites.
There is No on call work rotations just Monday- Friday work weeks with optional weekend work for overtime ( depends on what jobs we have on the go and need to get done).
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other mechanical tools to perform precise installations and repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems efficiently using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills.
- Collaborate with team member on technical plumbing and hydronic heating system.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of work to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, or maintenance within residential and or commercial settings.
- Familiarity with hydronic heating systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, hand tools usage, and basic math calculations relevant to plumbing tasks.
- Background in maintenance work related to manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately is essential for success in this role. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to apply their technical skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to essential infrastructure projects.
