Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes through various horticultural and construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work, with a strong focus on quality and safety. This position offers opportunities for hands-on experience with a variety of tools and equipment, contributing to the beautification of residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation and landscaping projects
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping activities
- Assist with construction projects such as retaining walls, pathways, or garden beds
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or related outdoor work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques and construction practices is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators confidently and safely
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticultural principles, and general gardening practices will be beneficial
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
