The Water Care Technician analyzes and balances pool water while providing superior customer service and client satisfaction. Using modern equipment and high-end chemicals, the Water Care Technician generates unique prescriptions and administers all chemicals with extreme attention to detail. A successful Water Care Technician (or “Water-Tech”) should be proactive, diligent, approachable, and patient with clients. Water Techs provide the real “PoolZenia franchise experience,”; solving problems while educating with a smile.
Who we are: PoolZenia offers pool servicing and maintenance solutions to over 500 clients in the Simcoe region.

What you will do: The Water Technician supports the activities of our entire operation by:
- Completing water analysis
- Opening and closing pools
- Troubleshooting and repairing all water contact pool parts.
- Providing an elite level of customer service with all clients at all times.
- Providing clients with a progress report for current job state and next steps.
- Completing paperwork as per training for every job completed.
- Submitting requests for work to be scheduled to office administration and the Operations Manager
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of all pool system components.
- Working efficiently and safely at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and well-functioning truck.
- Carrying out Detailed Water Analysis for every Water Care client, including generating unique prescriptions.
- Administering chemicals directly to client pools as outlined by the prescription.
- Communicating prescription and test results with clients and educating them where possible.
- Complete paperwork and reports in a timely and legible fashion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Highschool Education
- Handy with tools
- Ability to troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical issues
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Valid G class Driver’s License
- Experience in the pool industry is considered an asset
- Plumbing certification is considered an asset
- Experience in sales is considered an asset
