New Style Construction Group is looking for a reliable, experienced construction person to join our team for daily repair/renovation work, with the ability to help respond to occasional emergency flood and water-damage calls in apartment and condo buildings.
This is not only a flood-response position. Most days will involve regular construction and repair work, including drywall repairs, painting, demo, baseboard/trim, small flooring repairs, apartment turnover work, deficiencies, and general renovation support.
When emergency water-damage calls come in, this person may be required to attend site, inspect the affected area, take photos and notes, check whether drying equipment is needed, help set up air movers/dehumidifiers, coordinate with management, and report back to the office.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily construction, renovation, and repair work
- Drywall, painting, trim, demo, small repairs, and deficiency work
- Attending apartment and condo buildings for service calls
- Taking clear photos, videos, and job notes
- Responding to occasional flood/water-damage calls
- Helping determine whether drying equipment or emergency mitigation is required
- Setting up or coordinating air movers and dehumidifiers when needed
- Communicating professionally with property managers, tenants, site staff, and office staff
- Helping organize materials, equipment, and job progress
- Supporting small estimates and repair scopes when required
Ideal candidate:
- Has construction, renovation, maintenance, or restoration experience
- Understands apartment/condo building work
- Can work independently and make practical decisions
- Is professional, reliable, and organized
- Can communicate clearly with clients and tenants
- Has a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Is willing to respond to occasional urgent water-damage calls
- Experience with water damage, air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters, or restoration work is an asset
This is a full-time or steady position for the right person, with occasional emergency-response work when needed. Compensation will depend on experience, skill level, reliability, and availability.
Pay: $17.36-$35.00 per hour
