Job Title: Projects Coordinator
Location: Seba Beach, Alberta (Kokanee Springs RV Park, Village Vows Weddings & Seba Hub)
Type: Full-time, Year-round with seasonal intensity
Reports to: General Manager / Property Owner
Position Overview
We are looking for a practical and organized Projects Coordinator to manage and take the sole lead on multiple improvement and development projects across our recreational property.
This role is responsible for planning and executing projects such as carpentry work, signage renovations, deck and pavilion upgrades, utility improvements (including bringing in new power), site enhancements, landscaping, and other CAPEX projects.
Important: This is an on-site position. The successful candidate must be on site every day during the work week.
You will act as the main point person for turning project ideas into completed work — coordinating contractors, managing budgets and timelines, while working closely with the Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage multiple projects simultaneously (small to medium size).
- Develop scopes of work, budgets, and timelines for projects ranging from $5k to $300k+.
- Source, select, and manage contractors, carpenters, electricians, and suppliers.
- Oversee on-site project execution and quality control.
- Track project costs, manage change orders, and keep projects on budget.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to avoid disrupting daily operations, guest experience, and wedding events.
- Prepare documentation for permits, Alberta Safety Codes, and inspections.
- Manage CAPEX projects including electrical/power upgrades, site work, and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide regular progress updates to the General Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of project coordination or construction-related experience (residential, commercial, or recreational properties).
- Solid understanding of construction practices including carpentry, basic electrical, and site work.
- Experience managing contractors and running multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Must be willing to be on-site every day at Seba Beach.
Preferred / Strong Assets:
- Diploma or certificate in Construction Management, Project Management, or Facilities Management.
- Experience working on RV parks, resorts, wedding venues, or similar properties.
- Basic knowledge of Alberta Building Code and utility regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project tracking tools.
- Hands-on background in carpentry or trades is a big plus.
