For more than 25 years, our team of specialists at Willowstone have been providing plant care solutions for individual property owners, condominium corporations and commercial businesses in the Southern Georgian Bay area.
Our focus at Willowstone is proactive plant health care and long-term landscape management plans. Along with garden maintenance and enhancement services we also have tree care, plant health care and consulting elements of our company. Our plant care crew carry out tree and shrub pruning and planting as well as plant health related remedial treatments like EAB injections, fungicide applications, infestation control, invasive species control, rootball injection fertilizing, soil remediation and establishment programs. We perform consulting services such as plant health assessments, tree and shrub inventories, disease diagnosis, soil and foliar testing and analysis, construction protection plans and arborist reports.
Our wide ranging expertise allows us to undertake the care of the whole landscape, from the smallest of garden plants to the largest of trees, and incorporate everything into the long range management plan.
The Position:
We are currently looking to hire landscape maintenance crew members to join our team of plant care experts. The responsibilities and requirements of this position are as follows:
- Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements of gardens at individual residences and condominium corporations
- Weeding
- Mulching
- Edging
- Deadheading
- Species specific shrub pruning
- Spring and Fall garden clean-ups
- Garden installation projects
- Continually monitor the landscape for changing health conditions and plant performance to determine site recommendations with the help of the Lead Horticulturist and Landscape Manager
- Performing tasks in coordination with the Plant Care Crew such as; tree and shrub planting and pruning, invasive species control and pest and disease management
The candidate we are looking for is an independent, skilled individual with a keen interest in all things plant care and a drive to expand their knowledge. Past experience in plant care and garden maintenance is preferred, however we are willing to train the appropriate candidate.
