Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting licensed physiotherapists in delivering effective patient care within a hospital or clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in rehabilitation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. Prior hospital experience and familiarity with acute care environments are highly desirable.
Duties
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans and therapy sessions for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for therapy sessions.
- Support patients during exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of therapy areas and equipment in compliance with health standards.
- Provide patient education on exercises, mobility techniques, and post-treatment care instructions.
Requirements
- Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred, especially within acute care settings.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.

Pay: $17.20-$32.33 per hour
