Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off – 12 Hour Shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Position Overview
We are currently recruiting a Facility Operator for our client located in the Turtleford area. This is a temporary opportunity expected to run for approximately 3 months or longer.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the facility while maintaining strong safety, operational, and environmental standards.
This position will begin on day shifts only. As training and competency progress, there may be potential to rotate into night shifts in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day operation of the facility
- Conduct truck unloading for oil emulsion, water, and vac trucks
- Participate in waste processing, centrifuge operations, and solids treating
- Assist with receipt, terminal storage, and transportation of crude oil while adhering to quality and compliance standards
- Conduct solids treatment on the waste pad
- Perform glycol boiler operations and inspections
- Submit truck ticket summaries, daily plant checklists, balances, and transfer documentation
- Participate in the company’s Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Ensure waste processing meets or exceeds landfill criteria and solids testing requirements
- Perform general facility maintenance and ensure the plant remains clean and safe
- Communicate effectively with cross-shift personnel and team members
Qualifications & Skills

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous experience in waste processing, oil treating, water injection, or facility operations is considered an asset
- Experience with boilers, pumps, centrifuges, loaders, and repairs is an asset
- Current and valid safety tickets are preferred, including:

H2S Alive
- First Aid Level C
- Confined Space Entry & Rescue
- WHMIS
- TDG
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work long hours in a physically and mentally demanding environment
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
Additional Details

Candidates are responsible for transportation to and from the facility
- All operational work is completed on site; no remote field checks required
- PPE will be provided by the employer
- Day shifts initially, with potential for future night shift rotation once fully trained and competent in all tasks
