Summary
- 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
- Knowledge of Canadian GST/HST, payroll, and accounting regulations.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience in transportation/trucking accounting is considered an asset.
- CPA designation preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Workday.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation, and payroll processes.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze accounts and support budgeting activities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
