Speeders Floor Manager
Position Summary
The Speeders Floor Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the facility while ensuring an exceptional guest experience, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting the development of the team. Floor Managers lead by example, uphold company standards, coach team members, and ensure all departments operate safely, efficiently, and consistently.
A successful Floor Manager is a visible leader who proactively supports their team, solves problems, communicates effectively, and takes ownership of the overall operation during their shift.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead by example and consistently demonstrate Speeders' standards and values.
- Supervise and support all team members throughout each shift.
- Coach employees in real time to improve performance and guest service.
- Hold team members accountable to company policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and professional work environment.
- Recognize and encourage outstanding employee performance.
Operations
- Oversee the daily operation of all departments including Reception, Pit, Arcade, Attractions, Restaurant, Bar, and Events.
- Ensure all attractions are operating safely and efficiently.
- Manage guest flow to maximize operational efficiency while maintaining safety.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to monitor facility standards and identify operational concerns.
- Ensure opening, shift change, and closing procedures are completed accurately.
- Respond quickly to operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service by leading guest interactions with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly using effective service recovery techniques.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address potential issues.
- Ensure all guests receive accurate information regarding attractions, policies, and procedures.
- Support special events and ensure a positive guest experience throughout the visit.
Team Development
- Train, coach, and mentor team members.
- Assist with onboarding and developing new employees.
- Provide clear direction and expectations during every shift.
- Conduct regular follow-up conversations to reinforce performance.
- Encourage teamwork and cross-department support.
Communication
- Clearly communicate daily goals, operational updates, and expectations to staff.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings when appropriate.
- Maintain open communication with fellow managers and department leaders.
- Document incidents, maintenance concerns, guest issues, and employee coaching as required.
- Ensure important information is communicated between shifts.
Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure all safety procedures and operational standards are followed.
- Monitor staff compliance with safety policies.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents.
- Complete incident reports thoroughly and accurately.
- Identify hazards and take immediate corrective action whenever possible.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace health and safety.
Staffing & Productivity
- Assign staff to appropriate work areas based on business needs.
- Monitor staffing levels throughout the shift and make adjustments as necessary.
- Manage employee breaks in accordance with company policy and labour legislation.
- Monitor productivity and ensure team members remain engaged throughout their shift.
- Assist with labour management by supporting efficient scheduling and staffing decisions.
Facility Standards
- Ensure the facility remains safe, organized, and presentation-ready throughout operating hours.
- Monitor the condition of equipment and report maintenance concerns.
- Ensure departments maintain company operating standards.
- Support preventative maintenance initiatives by communicating repair needs promptly.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete required reports and documentation accurately.
- Maintain operational logs and shift notes.
- Ensure cash handling procedures and company policies are followed.
- Support inventory counts and operational audits when required.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Customer service focused with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to learn and enforce company policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility frequently during each shift.
Working Conditions
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Fast-paced family entertainment environment.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- May be required to work in multiple departments throughout a shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
