THE ROLE:
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in the preparation of corporate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated financial analysis across multiple business units and legal entities. You will help deliver meaningful insights to executive leadership, support process improvements, and contribute to ongoing systems enhancements initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
Support consolidated financial reporting across multiple divisions and legal entities, leveraging both ERP systems and advanced Excel tools
Develop executive-level reporting, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key business performance insights
Assist with annual financial statement preparation, note disclosures, and year-end reporting requirements
Lead budgeting activities and support quarterly rolling forecasts
Provide financial analysis related to operational performance, key metrics, patronage, equity, and business trends
Mentor and support a team of financial analysts while providing day-to-day leadership and guidance
Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies
Participate in systems improvement initiatives, including ERP and reporting enhancements
Respond to ad hoc financial requests and special projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
CPA designation (or international accounting designation with strong Canadian accounting experience)
Extensive experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, and corporate accounting
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including ASPE reporting
Proven experience preparing consolidated financial information across multiple entities
Background in budgeting, forecasting, and FP& A activities
Experience performing variance analysis, trend analysis, and executive-level reporting
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior finance professionals
Knowledge of internal controls, process improvement initiatives, and financial best practices
Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
Experience working with SAP or other large ERP platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an asset
Exposure to Power BI, reporting automation, or systems enhancement projects is advantageous
Experience within agriculture, cooperative organizations, or similarly complex operating environments is an asset
