We are seeking a skilled Outboard Marine Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining outboard motors and related marine equipment. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on outboard motors and marine systems
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and part replacements on outboard engines
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble marine equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure optimal engine performance and safety standards
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings effectively to customers
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations during all repair activities
- Assist with inventory management of parts and tools necessary for repairs
Experience
- Prior experience working with outboard motors or marine engines is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and repair tasks
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., is required
- Experience with power tools used in engine repair or maintenance is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for diagnosing issues accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
