Job Summary
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Jr. Marketing Coordinator will assist with overseeing the day-to-day marketing communications of the retail business. They will work in tandem with the rest of the marketing team to deliver impactful and engaging campaigns. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, and has a passion for the TCG/Tabletop industry and seeks to grow their digital marketing skills in this entry level position.
Schedule
Weekends and some evenings required for availability, with willingness to work out of downtown Toronto or Vaughan offices as needed
Duties
- Assist the Marketing Manager with promotional campaigns and giveaways
- Communicate with E-Commerce and Events to keep visual assets up to date and in line with branding
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing trade shows, and other promotional off site events
- Manage day to day email campaigns for multiple product lines
- Update web pages in shopify, manage social media accounts, and assist with SEO/SEM efforts
- Working with the rest of the content team to create content on occasion
- Design graphics and supporting visuals
- Maintain social media accounts working with the Social Media Assistant
- Run analytics reports
- Administrative tasks as needed
Skills
- Strong English reading and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
- Strong technical computer skills
- Knowledge of Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, board games, sports and/or nerdy hobbies in general
- A self starter with drive to be able to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, and digital marketing principles
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in using Google Suite of products (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms etc.)
- Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout or Buffer considered an asset
- Experience with Capcut or other video editing software considered an asset
- Prior experience in merchandising and/or marketing is considered an asset
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
