Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Laborer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, utilizing various hand and power tools, reading schematics and blueprints, and assisting with general labor tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during painting and construction tasks
- Assist with rigging and setup of scaffolding or lifts for elevated work areas
- Perform general labor duties such as moving materials, cleaning work sites, and assisting with demolition or repair tasks
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Requirements
- 2 years in construction painting, restoration, or industrial painting is preferred
- Must be advanced in English
- Knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and carpentry tools; familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Experience with rigging and working from scaffolding or lifts is desirable
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights safely
- Customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction during projects
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
