Goodfellow Inc is a growth oriented, Canadian-based company specializing in the wholesale distribution of wood products, and remanufacturing, distribution and brokerage of lumber.
We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join and grow their career within our team. This person will be responsible for helping the team reach sales and profitability growth targets.
Duties:
- Sell and provide superior customer service to the flooring dealer network in Saskatchewan
- Build strong relationships with customer base
- Promptly answer all incoming calls and inquiries and return all messages, quotes, and order confirmations in a timely manner
- Provide exceptional customer service with a pleasant demeanor and an attitude of getting things done for the customer
- Accurately quote pricing and keep quotes organized for follow up
- Enter all orders accurately, always closing recommend additional add-on sales
- Maintain an up to date order file by proactively managing orders right through the system
- Assist outside sales team with the support they require to serve customers and grow business
- Responsible for issuing credits, debits, investigating discrepancies and processing claims
- Maintain contact with yard staff for stock checks and with shipping and fulfilment to ensure customer orders are shipped in a timely manner
- Proactively follow up on stock transfers from other branches
- Assist sales manager and product management team where required
- Act as EDI order back up for the branch
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication, selling and customer service skills
- Ability to handle customer issues and requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities
- Able to perform well in stressful situations
- Effectively work in a close team atmosphere
- Ability to analyze, solve problems and make decisions
- Able to work within and ERP computer system and MS Office
- Sales Experience in the Lumber and building materials preferred, but willing to train the right individual.
