Your Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and/or Customs Operations team to ensure efficient and accurate shipment processing.
- Lead, coach, and support operations staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high performance.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues, service failures, and customer escalations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, customs regulations, and carrier requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, trucking companies, warehouses, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the Sales team with operational expertise, pricing assistance, and new customer onboarding.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and overseas partners to ensure excellent customer service.
- Monitor departmental KPIs and operational performance, and prepare reports for management.
- Review operational documentation for accuracy and ensure timely billing.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or international transportation operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with CargoWise or other freight forwarding management systems is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding documentation, customs regulations, and international shipping procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Mandarin is considered a strong asset (or required, depending on business needs).
