Special Needs Instructor (SNI)/ Kinesiologist Movement Therapy contractors needed-
-Start with training course (AMD), and clients schedule -some clients during the week/some evenings

The BODiWORKS Institute (www.bodiworksinstitute.com) provides advanced programs and services within its Special Needs Department. We are looking NOW for additional individuals who have the aptitude, caring and experience with special needs children and adults who would like to work with them in a physical activity setting.
Training: The candidate once accepted to our team, will be required to learn essential methods through the AMD (Adapted Motor Development) and complete the Course and Certificate at a greatly supplemented cost (-80%)
Work is ALL One on one - We offer a unique Intervention program called the Adapted Gym Program (AGP) which helps children/teens with Autism, Downs and other developmental challenges obtain their motor skill potentials. This program runs year round with children in a specified schedule. We also work with adult special needs and disabilities in our Exercise Therapy and Recreation (ETR) program, Neurodevelopers (ND) and our Combination Therapy treatments.
There can be a short apprenticeship period (observation hours) and we provide (mostly cost subsidized )mandatory Certificate course (AMD1&2) to complete in order to support the Special Needs Instructor (SNI) .

Best candidates for this position may have:
- Registered Kinesiologist (asset for more work opportunity) or health or psychology or OT based degrees or other (options)
AND
- interest/experience with special needs child and adult populations
- interest and experience with physical exercise
PLUS-
- those with experience working with challenging behaviours and cognitive challenges
- Coaching or camp experience can be an asset along with *degree.
- career minded in the field
-ABA/IBI training can be an asset (for Autism)
*preferred CPR/First aid certifications
-* ONLY degree graduates or minimum final year need apply.
- * Possible advancement for the SNI. with Registered Kinesiologist (RKin)
Hours per week depend on clients and availability.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: supplement clients and team to start, increase your hours overtime.
Salary: $19.00-$23.00 per hour-improves with time and success.
