Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure efficient service
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Hospitality or guest services experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation, upselling techniques, and POS operation
