Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaping Foreman/woman to lead and oversee landscaping projects and maintenance crews. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of horticulture and landscape maintenance, and the ability to supervise multiple teams effectively. This role involves managing daily operations on-site, ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating various landscaping activities to deliver exceptional results for clients. A background in construction and irrigation systems is highly desirable, along with a passion for gardening and outdoor aesthetics.
Duties
- Install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain, and related underground services
- Read and interpret grades, stakes, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Ensure proper trench preparation, bedding, pipe alignment, and elevations
- Work closely with Operators, Top Persons, and Forepersons during installations
- Install fittings, valves, manholes, catch basins, and appurtenances
- Verify line and grade using lasers and grade checking tools
- Follow all trench safety and confined space procedures
- Maintain a productive and safety-focused work environment
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of sewer and watermain pipe laying experience
- Strong knowledge of municipal underground construction practices
- Experience with PVC, Concrete, CSP, HDPE, and Watermain installations
- Ability to read grades and construction drawings
- Knowledge of GTA municipal standards and specifications
- Working at Heights and First Aid certifications are considered assets
- Reliable transportation and ability to work throughout the GTA
