Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy and coordinating the efficient movement of goods throughout the supply chain. This role ensures inventory is properly received, stored, tracked, and shipped while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting cost-effective logistics operations. The position works closely with purchasing, warehouse, sales, customer service, suppliers, freight carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or excess stock.
- Perform daily inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate and participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Ensure inventory transactions are entered accurately and promptly.
- Monitor inventory aging and recommend actions for slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Work with purchasing to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Receiving & Warehouse Coordination
- Coordinate inbound deliveries with suppliers and freight carriers.
- Verify quantities and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
- Resolve receiving discrepancies with suppliers and purchasing.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouse locations when required.
Logistics Coordination
- Arrange domestic and international shipments by truck, ocean, and rail.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Track shipments from supplier to warehouse and from warehouse to customers.
- Provide shipment status updates to internal departments and customers.
- Resolve transportation delays and delivery issues promptly.
Import & Export Documentation
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including:
- Commercial Invoices
- Packing Lists
- Bills of Lading
- Certificates of Origin
- Customs documentation
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Order Processing
- Coordinate outbound shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule.
- Work closely with sales and customer service regarding order priorities.
- Monitor open orders and communicate any potential delays.
Freight & Carrier Management
- Obtain and compare freight quotations.
- Select the most cost-effective transportation options while maintaining service levels.
- Review freight invoices for accuracy before payment.
- Monitor carrier performance and recommend improvements.
- Assist in negotiating freight rates with transportation providers.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare inventory and logistics performance reports.
- Track key inventory and transportation metrics.
- Analyze inventory trends and recommend process improvements.
- Support management with inventory forecasting and planning.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow company policies and warehouse safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with transportation, customs, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain organized inventory and shipping records.
- Support quality management and audit requirements.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or chemical industries is preferred.
- Experience with international shipping and customs documentation is an asset.

Physical Requirements

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
