Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and providing exceptional food service experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and restaurant policies regarding sanitation and safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, and food industry operations is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
