With many construction projects across Western Canada, LMS Reinforcing Steel Group is actively looking for a Rebar/Shop Drawing Detailer to join our team in Calgary.
Job Duties:
- Detailing rebar for fabrication and installation crews.
- Interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, and other information as required to create detailed bar lists.
- Document control – filing site instructions and other change documentation, updating drawing sets, etc.
- Coordination with customers, management, field crews and contracts team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience detailing reinforcing steel, producing detailed bar lists for field use.
- Excellent communication skills (written & spoken)
- Firm understanding of construction sequencing/terminology or reinforcing steel background
Assets:
- Computer proficient, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- MicroStation experience
- Understanding of rebar standards and practices.
- Project coordination/project management experience.
- Experience as a Rebar and/or Post Tensioning Cable installer.
- aSa experience
- CAD and/or Building information models (BIM) experience is an asset.
