Steamworks Brewery is currently hiring a full-time Forklift Operator for our manufacturing facility located in Burnaby. A strong work ethic, the ability to multitask and stay focused, and an appreciation for quality craft beer are important for success in this role. This is a full-time afternoon position. Shifts will be Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-9:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Packaging, Brewing, Cellar, and other departments regarding forklifting and warehouse operations
- Coordinate and monitor truck appointments
- Load & unload trucks
- Operate sit down forklift
- Monitor physical and system inventory
- Maintain consumables, pallet, empty keg, and other inventory as needed
- Schedule & monitor recycling, garbage, & dunnage pickup and delivery as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Previous forklift experience (valid forklift certification required)
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude & eagerness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Computer savvy, including experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Previous brewery or manufacturing experience
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems
- Passion for craft beer
