We're conducting a confidential search for an experienced Service Division Manager to join an established, financially strong mechanical contractor with a reputation for quality and long-term customer relationships. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Service Division while helping shape its long-term growth and success.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Providing leadership to a team of technicians, field leaders, dispatch, and administrative staff.
- Driving a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of a busy service department.
- Improving technician utilization, scheduling efficiency, and customer response times.
- Monitoring KPIs including revenue, gross margin, labour productivity, callback rates, maintenance agreement performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
- Working closely with sales, estimating, operations, and finance to achieve business goals.
- Building strong relationships with residential and commercial customers.
- Identifying operational improvements that increase efficiency, profitability, and employee engagement.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing a service department within plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, facilities maintenance, or a related service business.
- A proven history of building high-performing teams.
- Strong financial and operational acumen.
- Experience managing budgets, labour performance, and departmental KPIs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to make decisions quickly while balancing customer expectations with business objectives.
- Experience leading change and improving processes.
A technical background in the mechanical trades is considered an asset but is not required if you have demonstrated success leading technical teams.
